in south carolina... the rain comes up from underneath... so just forget about the umbrella. >.> i think most girls carried umbrellas because the only thing it would protect was their hair.

Though, umbrellas can make for interesting weapons in a pinch. Unfortunately, they are also fairly inneffective for bludgeoning annoying bosses. Though you could poke at her from a long distance...
