Don't get me wrong, I love ellipsis ("...") and use it quite often in my writing... (see?) but I am getting SO TIRED of clicking on deviations where all that's written for a description is "...".

So from here on out, I am going to be Raging against the ellipses by leaving a comment of only "...".

Why?

Because when I'm drawn into viewing a peice of work by the thumbnail, it's because I want to know more about the work and the artist. The artist has the ability of reaching out to me to further enjoy his/her work by leaving me a description of their art. When all I get is "..." my time has been wasted. I don't care how great the art is anymore, I'm pissed off that whoever did it didn't even care enough about at least writing about their work... and when an artist can't even come up with something to say about their work... to me, that says the work was done in vain because there was no emotions or feelings attached to the work... no purpose. (Or they stole the work from someone else and is posting it as their own.)

So if you're like me and you actually like reading descriptions, I invite you to join me and rage against the ellipses and leave only "..." replies.

If the artist replies (which I'm doubting they will), just reply back, "Because that's all you wrote." and possibly link back to this journal entry...

Or if you want, write your own journal entry and express your feelings about how you feel when you see "..." as the description and link to that. (or leave it in your signature!)

Other snappy (and snide) replies could also be:
"I'm sorry, I thought you could only read braille."
"Oh, I thought it was an encoded message in morse code. I was wondering what 's' meant."
"It worked for you, I thought it could work for me."
